AXTER, waterproofing experts from research to manufacture
Largely because of ever-changing environmental issues, the building and civil engineering markets are constantly evolving. Turnaround times are increasingly short in a highly competitive context where needs are multiple. In this context, AXTER now acts more like a partner than ever, striving to develop and evolve its products with an eye to safety, productivity and customer comfort.
A high-performance industrial site
With 150 employees at the Courchelettes site and nearly 50,000 m² devoted to the design and production of bitumen membranes, the AXTER plant has a production capacity of 30 million m² per year.
These square meters are produced on the three lines devoted to bitumen membranes and on the COLETANCHE line built in 2006. Nearly 100,000 metric tons of products are shipped each year for approximately 20,000 orders processed.

Development
Beyond the creation of new systems to meet our customers’ requirements and anticipate legislative and regulatory changes, the development team are the custodians of CE marking required for market release as well as certifications that guarantee the quality and insurability of our solutions (Technical Assessments, as well as Asqual, Gost, NSF, Bridge, BBA, ATG, BENOR and other certifications).

AXTER, which is ISO 9001 and 14001 certified, has a “Total Quality” policy – from manufacture to sale of its products – all focused on customer certification.
All our products meet current requirements for different types of structures (mechanical resistance, shear failure and ageing), as a function of standards inherent to the products and to the country of sale.

Since 2013 and the introduction of Construction Product Regulation no. 305/2011, the manufacturers of building products for use in the European Union, such as AXTER, must have a Declaration of Performance (DoP) for all their products covered by a harmonized standard, and they must put CE marking on each product.
