Animal pass, Colbitz – Germany

Ecoducts allow wildlife to cross man-made obstacles (roads, waterways, railways) and ensure the continuity of flora.

These passages are essential to ensure that wildlife can move around to meet their vital needs. This is especially important in the context of climate change, which requires ecosystem adaptation.

The COLETANCHE ES4 system is used as a filtering layer to prevent the drainage layer from being clogged by topsoil particles and as a waterproof layer to protect the supporting structure from water infiltration.

This project, located on the A14 at COLBITZ in Germany, was carried out in summer 2019. COLETANCHE provides waterproofing to protect the supporting structure from water infiltration.
